## Frequently Asked Questions

### Account

**How do I create an account?**
Open the app, tap "Register", and enter your email, username, and password. You'll be logged in automatically after registration.

**I forgot my password.**
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a code to reset your password.

**How do I delete my account?**
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data from our servers.

### Battles

**How do I start a battle?**
Go to the Battles tab, tap "Create Battle", choose a format (By Rules or Free), enter a topic, and wait for an opponent to join.

**What's the difference between Battle by Rules and Free Battle?**
Battle by Rules has timed rounds and turns — each participant speaks for a set time while the other listens. Free Battle has no restrictions — both participants can speak freely.

**Why can't I hear or see my opponent?**
Make sure you've granted camera and microphone permissions. Go to your device Settings → SpeechApp and enable Camera and Microphone access.

**How does voting work?**
Spectators can upvote or downvote each participant during a round. Votes are shown as a live percentage split on screen.

**What is a draw offer?**
During a battle, either participant can offer a draw. The opponent can accept or reject. If accepted, the battle ends with no winner.

### Chat

**My messages aren't loading.**
Try pulling down to refresh the chat. If the issue persists, check your internet connection and restart the app.

**How do I reply to a message from a notification?**
On supported devices, you can tap "Reply" directly on the notification to send a quick response without opening the app.

### Challenges

**What are challenges?**
Challenges are video posts where you share your opinion on a topic. Other users can respond with their own videos, like, and comment.

**How do I post a challenge?**
Tap the Create tab in the bottom navigation, record or select a video, add a title and description, and publish.

### Notifications

**I'm not receiving push notifications.**
Make sure notifications are enabled for SpeechApp in your device Settings. On Android 13+, you need to explicitly grant the notification permission.

**How do I turn off notifications?**
Go to your device Settings → SpeechApp → Notifications and adjust your preferences.

### Technical Issues

**The app is crashing or not working properly.**
Try the following:
1. Close and reopen the app
2. Check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play
3. Restart your device
4. Reinstall the app (your account data is saved on the server)

**Video quality is poor during battles.**
Video quality depends on your internet connection. For the best experience, use a stable Wi-Fi connection. SpeechApp requires a minimum of 1 Mbps upload and download speed for smooth video.
